Poste Restante
The Economy of Pleasure is a performance in the form of a training facility where the visitor confronts his or her difficulties of experiencing rapture. In simulated situations the visitors are aided to overcome their personal obstacles and fears connected to the act of letting go, of having “fun”. The practice ends when visitors and trainers jointly perform a rapturous re-enactment of the exercises.
Poste Restante creates performances where each audience member is placed in the centre of the narrative. Since 2007, Poste Restante has created numerous large scale performances and has been presented at festivals such as Baltic Circle in Finland, Santiago a Mil in Chile and Salzburger Festspiele in Austria.
