Lorpan längtar

Lorpan längtar
Lorpan sits alone in the playground, scanning the area for a friend to play with — someone who takes play just as seriously as she does. With all her energy, she searches and insists on her right to play!

Lorpan längtar/Lorpans longing is a love letter to play. To the joy of finding a friend who plays by the same rules. A newly written performance by Ingalill Ellung and Stina Wirsén.

“The story is portrayed with warmth and presence, and those familiar with Stina Wirsén’s picture books will recognise much of it. A game of hide-and-seek becomes an exciting theatre within the theatre. Ellung draws a surprising amount from her small ensemble, consisting of two puppeteers and six puppets.”

“Bengt Ernryd’s delicately refined music underscores the gentle, playful tone. The puppets are absolutely wonderful — from Lorpan with her red-haired tousle, round cheeks and dress, to the super-sweet Bim and the wobbling, long-legged, sharp-nosed adults.”

About Dockteater Tittut:

For over 45 years Tittut has been producing captivating and highly creative shows. Always with a focus on the youngest children and the ambition of being engaging and innovative. Since many of our visitors are making their debut as an audience member, we want their first experience to be memorable and joyful. After many years of experience, we know that having an introduction is important. Each performance starts with a meeting between the actors and audience in the foyer to create trust and curiosity.

We treat our young audience with great respect and place high demands on ourselves to always deliver the best. Our stories might seem simple but they branch in many directions beneath the surface. Often they have existential undercurrent – in a playful way of course.

Our shows are staged at theatres and other venues throughout the country. We put on about 700 performances a year, about half of which are outside Stockholm County. The theatre has a permanent stage on Lundagatan in Södermalm and an additional stage at the Blue House in Tensta. We arrange seminars, courses, guest performances and our Baby Theatre shows.

Over the years we have collaborated with Teatro Gioco Vita in Italy and the Children’s Theatre Company in Minneapolis, Kungliga Operan and Riksteatern, among others.
