SOS

- Stories of Storms

SOS is a dance performance and live music concert with flying scenography. Inspired by "preppers" – individuals who prepare for the worst – this performance suggests how we should continue to collaborate in times of need, such as when the storms causes power outrages or if the comet comes. The scenography consists of lightweight fabrics that transform from mountains to tents, from ominous shadows to pink clouds. The cello-parrot and the harp-horse invites the audience to play along on the neon fish thread instrument that are handed out to the children in this dreamy, dystopian, playful and transformative performance.

About us
Shake it Collaborations (SiC) is a Stockholm based, internationally working company operating in the fields of performance, dance, theatre and music. Shake it Collaborations functions as a platform to share artistic ideas and it also provides means for research and a creative context for invited collaborators through its projects. The company is expanding and reshaping, from project to project, depending on the different collaborators. SiC was founded 2012 and Tove Sahlin is the artistic director of the company.

International touring

SOS is suitable for black-box venues but not proscenium theaters since the actors needs to be able to reach the seats from the stage when handing out a fish thread instrument to the audience. The performance can tour nationally and internationally at venues and festivals, appealing to families with children of different ages and schools audiences, then preferable the age between nine and twelve. Shake it Collaborations has been touring internationally with the duets Roses & Beans 2010-2015 and It is as it is 2017-2022 plus the shaking solo My Own Bodies 2012-2017. SOS has been touring so far only in Sweden but performed last at Scenkonst Sörmland in Eskilstuna november 2023 with twenty-four shows in nine days.
